DENVER – University of Denver women's golf junior Anna Zanusso earned another accolade on Thursday, being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in a release by CoSIDA. The junior was a first-team selection.

The Italy native made the team for the first time in her collegiate career.

The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.

Zanusso was selected to the first team in District 7 of Division I, which covers Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas. She was only one of two golfers who received first-team honors.

The junior has been an absolute force in the classroom during her time at DU, posting a 3.91 cumulative GPA while majoring in Finance. She is a two-time Summit League All-Academic Team selection and a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar.

On the course, Zanusso has been just as dominant, recently capturing her first Summit League Championship MVP back in late April after setting a 54-hole tournament record for scoring at the Summit League Championship in Newton, Kan.
