ALBUQUERQUE – The University of Denver men's golf team busy week of tournaments kept going on Friday, with day one of the Tucker Invitational. The Pioneers closed out the two-round day tied for fifth at 5-over as a team.

Significant Stats:
- San Diego State leads the large team field at 17-under through two rounds of play.
- Caden Fioroni of UNLV has the lead on the individual leader board at 8-under.
- DU took advantage of the par 3 placements on the first day, finishing first in the field in average at 3.13.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:

Carson Griggs continued his strong start to this fall season, firing a 6-under 138 (74-64) on the first day of play. The 64 was a season-low for the Sand Springs, Okla. native. Griggs is just two shots off the lead.

Brady Arnett and
Esteban Missura each shot 2-over (144) to close out the afternoon tied for 33rd.

Jack Dozer sits tied for 69th at 7-over (74-77).

Matt Spaulding ended his day tied for 95th at 12-over.
