Ofunrein Named Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week

The Pioneer sophomore scored both of Denver’s goals last week, the first two of his career
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Denver men's soccer sophomore striker Oje Ofunrein has been named the TicketSmarter Men's Soccer Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Ofunrein scored a second-half breakthrough in each of Denver's two matches last week, including Denver's Summit League opening victory over Oral Roberts on Saturday night at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. The Denver sophomore joins Sam Bassett and Ian Smith, becoming the third Pioneer this season to score their second career goals the match after scoring their first career goal.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The Pioneers will return to the road this weekend for their first single-match week of the season when Denver travels to Omaha. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. MT Saturday at Caniglia Field.
