WHAT: Denver's third of a five-match road trip
WHERE: Spartan Soccer Complex (San Jose State, California)
WHEN: Thursday, September 8, at 7:30 p.m. MT / 6:30 p.m. PT

LAST TIME OUT:
Denver fell 2-4 to Washington State on Sunday, outscoring the Cougars 2-1 in the second half. Graduate student Sami Feller tallied three points on the night with her first goal of the season while adding an assist on Denver's second goal, graduate student Camryn MacMillan's third of the year.

QUICK HITS:
  • At Washington State, MacMillan's last-minute goal (89:16) was the 14th latest in regulation in Denver history. The graduate student also owns the program's third and 10th latest goals.
  • Feller tallied a team-leading three points against Washington State, her ninth career match with at least three points and her third time doing so against a non-conference opponent.
  • MacMillan leads Denver in goals (3) and points (6) through the first three weeks of the season.
  • Denver is in the middle of a five-match road trip that started with trips to Eastern Washington and Washington State last week. It will continue with in-state matches at Colorado (September 11) and Colorado State (September 17).
  • Thursday's match was pushed back to a 6:30 p.m. PT start due to forecasted extreme heat. The match was originally slated for a 4:30 p.m. PT kickoff.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS:
San Jose State came back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 against UC Santa Barbara on September 4. Cynthia Flores and Bella Flocchini scored in the second half to secure the tie for the Spartans on the road.

Denver is 2-0 all-time against San Jose State. The teams have not met since a 4-0 win for DU on September 28, 2012, in Denver, and their only other previous meeting came on September 19, 2003, a 2-1 Denver win in a neutral-site match in Boulder, Colorado.

WHAT'S NEXT:
Denver returns to its home state for a matchup against Colorado State on Sunday, September 11. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. MT in Fort Collins, Colorado.
