TULSA, OK --Tommy Bruner scored 25 points and Justin Mullins had 12 more, but the Pioneers fell to the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 102-61 on the road Thursday.
Bruner led the Pioneers (12-11, 3-7) with 25 points. Mullins tacked on 12 points and two steals and Touko Tainamo helped out with nine points.
Lukas Kisunas pulled down five offensive rebounds to lead the Denver offense which grabbed 12 boards and turned them into six second chance points.
How It Happened
After falling behind 19-12, Denver went on a 7-0 run with 10:41 left in the first half to tie the game at 19. Oral Roberts then pulled ahead, sending the Pioneers into halftime down 43-39.
Denver could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 102-61. Denver took care of business in the paint, recording 16 of its 22 points in the lane.
