DENVER – The 2023 Denver Hockey Student-Season Ticket Campout is this Friday, Oct. 13 on the north lawn of the Ritchie Center on the University of Denver campus.
 
A limited amount of student tickets for the 2023-24 campaign become available on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 a.m., and students must be in line to receive a golden ticket—their access to every home game this season.
 
Students can start pitching their tents on Friday at 11 a.m. on the northside of the Ritchie Center along Buchtel Boulevard and are encouraged to spend the night to secure their place in line (make sure to also bring cold weather clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, camping chairs and any other essentials).
 
The University of Denver Athletics department and DU Programming Board has also organized several events throughout the afternoon and evening to help students pass the time, including lawn games and free food from Canes and Snarfs (while supplies last). There will also be several prizes raffled throughout the night courtesy of Canvas, Raising Canes, Safeway, Pepsi, Vista Apartments, AAA, Saucy's and Uber.
 
Students will also get a chance to look at this year's Pioneers hockey team with an open practice on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Magness Arena.
 
The Friday night campout also features an open skate on Magness Arena, an outside movie on the lawn (Mighty Ducks) and S'mores.

11 a.m. – Tents can begin being setup
5:00 p.m. – Mini Golf opens
6:00 p.m. – Snarf's and Papa Johns delivery at Magness Arena concourse
6:30 p.m. – Hockey open practice (Magness Arena)
8:00 p.m. – Raising Cane's delivery
8:30 p.m. – Open skate at Magness Arena (skate pickup at Joy Burns Arena)
10:00 p.m. – Movie on the lawn: Mighty Ducks (Ritchie Center lawn)
11:00 p.m. – S'mores Bar (Ritchie Center lawn)
7:00 a.m. – Donuts delivery and contest prizes distributed
7:30 a.m. – Student Season Tickets go on sale (Magness Arena north entrance)
 
COMING UP: The Pioneers play their first home games of the season against Augustana on Friday, Oct. 27 and in-state foe Air Force on Saturday, Oct. 28 as part of Homecoming Weekend. DU hosts in-state rival Colorado College to begin the Gold Pan series on Friday, Nov. 3.
