
Marin’s 200 Free Win Highlights Session Two in Houston

The third and final meet of the Rice Fall Splash Invitational will begin at 12:30 p.m. MT
HOUSTON – The University of Denver women's swimming and diving program got a 200 free win from Ines Marin and racked up a couple more podiums in the second of three sessions at the 2023 Rice Fall Splash Invitational at the Rice Competition Pool.

Women's 200 Free – Ines Marin – 1:52.81
Denver opened the middle meet of three this weekend with a third-place finish in the women's 200 medley relay. Ali Beay, Sophia Remington, Mary O'Neil and Erika Remington combined for a time of 1:47.01.
The Pioneers best event of the weekend to this point came in the women's 100 free where Denver claimed spots 2-5. Marin led the Denver quartet with a time of 52.14. Megan Lucyshyn reached the wall in third with a time of 52.80, Kali Metuzals grabbed a fourth-place finish in 52.99 and Erika Remington got to the wall in 53.07 to finish fifth.
In a sprint-fly race, Beay took third in the 50 with a time of 25.76 to earn Denver another spot on a podium.
Marin got Denver in the win column for the first time on Saturday with her 1:52.81 to lead the field in the 200 free.
Following her third-place finish in the 200 IM on Friday evening, Lilly Zippel moved up a spot to second place in the 400 with her time of 4:28.29. Sabrina Rachjaibun took fourth in the race with a time of 4:31.26.
