Marin Completes 2023 Pan-American Games

The Denver senior swam in three freestyle events in the games in Chile, including 11th place finishes in both the 100m free and the 200m free

SANTIAGO, Chile – University of Denver women's swimming senior Ines Marin completed her three-event appearance in the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile on Tuesday.
 
Marin opened up the meet in her hometown with an 11th place finish in the 200m freestyle, clocking in at 2:03.33. The Denver senior backed that up with another 11th place finish the following day in the 100m free. Marin closed out her meet on Tuesday with a 26.57 in the 50m sprint, good for 20th at the championships.
 
Marin's 2023 Pan American Games Results:
  • 11th in the 200m freestyle – 2:03.33
  • 11th in the 100m freestyle – 57.03
  • 20th in the 50m freestyle – 26.57
UP NEXT: Denver's women's program heads to Colorado State next weekend for another Friday evening meet (4 p.m.), while the Denver men host an intrasquad inside El Pomar on Saturday, October 28, at 7:45 a.m. MT.
