LAST TIME OUT:
Denver played to a 0-0 draw at Omaha on October 1 to wrap up its first Summit League road trip of the season. DU led UNO in shots (18-11) and shots on goal (5-3). It was DU's first scoreless tie in a Summit League match in almost exactly a year, last doing so at South Dakota State on September 30, 2022.

QUICK HITS:
  • Thursday's match features the top two teams in the current Summit League standings with both teams currently undefeated in league play.
  • Denver extended its streak of outshooting its opponents to eight consecutive matches and in 10 of its last 11 with its 18-11 margin at Omaha on October 1.
  • With its 18 shots at UNO, DU has logged double-digit shot attempts in every match this season except for the season opener.
  • Junior Samantha Dreiling holds a Denver-leading 11-match streak with at one shot attempt after adding one at Omaha.
  • Freshman Molly Wissman collected the fifth cleansheet of her young career in the 0-0 draw at UNO.
SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS:
This will be the 16th all-time meeting between Denver and South Dakota State with SDSU holding a 7-3-5 record. The teams last met in a scoreless draw at SDSU on September 30, 2022. The last time South Dakota State made the trip to Denver was in the 2021 Summit League Final, a 4-2 win for SDSU. SDSU last traveled to DU in the regular season on October 31, 2021, in what would be a 2-0 win for Denver.

The Jackrabbits are coming off a 3-1 win at home against North Dakota. SDSU held a 1-0 lead at halftime before UND found the equalizer in the 57th minute. Less than 10 minutes later, South Dakota State retook the lead on Laney Murdzek's first goal of the year, and Katelyn Beulke added an insurance goal just six minutes later.

DU will celebrate Senior Day when it hosts South Dakota for its second of a three-match homestand on Sunday, October 8, at 12 p.m. MT.
