DENVER – University of Denver sophomore goalkeeper Isaac Nehme has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Nehme made six saves for the second time this season in-between the pipes for the Pioneers, including four second-half stops to lead Denver to a 1-0 win at Kansas City on Saturday. The shutout was his sixth of the season, tying for the seventh-most in a single season in Denver's Division I history. Nehme's cleansheet was the 16th of his career, moving him into fourth in Denver's DI record book. The Denver sophomore is the sixth keeper in Denver's history to reach 20 career wins.
