RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIF. – The University of Denver women's golf team had a good showing in its first stroke play tournament of the spring, finishing third at the San Diego State Classic on Tuesday. The Pioneers posted a team score of 909 (300-302-307).

- 12 teams (four, including Denver, ranked in the top 50 according to Golfstat)
Significant Stats:
- No. 30 Iowa State took home the team title at 33-over, four shots over No. 39 Georgia.
- Caterina Don from Georgia won individual medalist honors with a three-round total of 216 (even par).
- The Pioneers picked up three Power-5 head-to-head wins over Oregon State, Washington State and Colorado.

Anna Zanusso kicked off her spring season in style, tying for fourth at 5-over.

Alyson Bean had her best finish of the year, finishing tied for seventh at 9-over.

Emma Bryant moved up three spots on Tuesday to tie for 21st at 15-over.

Anna Krekling wrapped up her tournament tied for 29th.

Clara Gestsdottir tied for 45th.
