DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball team raised over $7,500 in the 2022-23 Long Ball Elite Fundraiser, which allowed fans to donate any dollar amount per made three-pointer this season.
Denver combined to make 253 three-pointers as a team, ranking seventh in the country in three-pointers attempted per game (27.5) and 18
th in the country in three-pointers made per game (8.4).
"I'm very thankful for the fans of our program that donated to this fun and interactive campaign," head coach
Doshia Woods said. "The money from this fundraiser goes right back into the student-athlete experience at the University of Denver, and we couldn't be more excited to see its impact in providing funding for a grab and go nutrition area in the locker room, team travel and leadership programming for our young women as we prepare them to take on the world after college. We're looking forward to seeing this fundraiser continue to grow over the years."
