LOUISVILLE – University of Denver men's lacrosse senior faceoff specialist Alec Stathakis has been named to the USILA National Team of the Week, the coaches association announced on Tuesday.  
 
Stathakis went 14-of-20 from the faceoff stripe in Denver's win at [12/11] North Carolina on Saturday morning. The BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week picked up eight ground balls off his 14 faceoff wins, and won back-to-back faceoffs in the fourth quarter that led to Denver's game-tying and game-winning goals.

UP NEXT: Denver will head right back to the east coast next weekend when the Pioneers travel to play Yale on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. MT. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
