DENVER – The [19/19] University of Denver men's lacrosse program, presented by Your Hometown Toyota Stores, will wrap-up its second back-to-back road weekends of the 2023 season when the Pioneers travel to [9/11] Yale on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ET/9:30 a.m. MT. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
DI Series History vs. Yale
Yale has won each of the previous meetings between the two programs. In 2005, Yale won in OT in Connecticut by a count of 10-9. A year ago at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, the Bulldogs won 16-13.

After having not trailed until 3:24 to play in the fourth,
Alec Stathakis won back-to-back faceoffs and
Mic Kelly and
JJ Sillstrop canned goals to tie and take the lead for good in Denver's 9-8 upset of No. 12 North Carolina last Saturday in Chapel Hill.
Bill Tierney's Final Season
Head coach
Bill Tierney will roam the Denver sidelines for his 14
th and final season in 2023. Tierney enters the game at 160-56 at DU and 432-149 in his 39
th season as a college head lacrosse coach.
All Across the Country
The 2023 Denver Pioneers have players from 19 different states, bringing the program's total in the Division I era to 35 different states. The 2023 Pioneers added three new states to the program's list: Iowa (
Michael Provenza), Kansas (
Cade Eldred) and Utah (
Chris Caldwell).
