DENVER – The No. 63-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team (13-7) topped Omaha, 5-2, in the team's home finale on Friday afternoon at Denver Tennis Park.
 
DU finished the season with a 9-2 record at home including wins in the last seven matches at Denver Tennis Park.
 
Doubles:
DU took a lead to start doubles play after redshirt senior 
Anish Sriniketh and junior 
Peter Sallay teamed up for the first time and won the No. 1 matchup, 6-3. However, Omaha would take the doubles point after breaking early in the No. 2 match and then adding a late break in the No. 3 match.
 
Singles:
Denver earned wins in the first five singles matches, all in straight sets. Sallay's second win of the day came in No. 3 singles to start things off, taking 4-1 and 5-1 leads before closing out the first and second sets, respectively.
 
Junior 
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta had his own 5-1 lead, doing so in the first set. He traded breaks to start the second set before holding a 5-2 lead in the second set and eventually served it out at 5-4 to win the No. 2 matchup.
 
Sophomore 
Daniel Sancho Arbizu improved to 4-1 win playing at No. 1 singles with a straight-sets win. After taking the first set, 6-2, he raced out to a 5-0 lead in the second set. UNO's Davis Lawley put up a fight, breaking with Sancho Arbizu serving for it, though the Denver sophomore would close it out, 6-3.
 
In the final home match of his career, graduate student 
Conner Olsen clinched Denver's victory at No. 4 singles. He broke in the match's opening game, though found things back on serve at 4-3 before breaking again to take the first set. He won the first four games of the second set before dropping just one game on his way to taking the match.
 
Junior 
Charlie Miller added a fifth singles win for Denver in the No. 5 spot. He came back from an early break down in the first set, winning four consecutive games on his way to a 6-2 win. His 4-0 lead in the second turned to a 5-2 lead before he secured the win at 6-3.
