Pioneers Secure Sweep against North Dakota State

DENVER, CO --The Denver volleyball team fought to a three-set win (25-23, 25-23, 26-24) against the North Dakota State Bison Saturday at home in Hamilton Gymnasium.

The conference win improved Denver's record to 3-7 overall and 2-0 in Summit play.

The Pioneers attack was paced by Cadi Boyer, who finished with 11 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .5, and by Ava Reynolds, who had 10 in just two sets. Gianna Bartalo led the defense with nine digs and contributed offensively with her first kill of the season..

SET 2 | Denver carried momentum from a set-one win by earning a 25-23 victory in set number two. The Pioneers persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured six lead changes and was tied 12 times. Neither team led by more than four points along the way. Denver's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four North Dakota State attacks in the stanza.
