LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The University of Denver women's tennis team will have student-athletes playing in the singles and doubles semifinals at the 2024 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by New Mexico State.
Senior
Andrea Burguete Beltran and junior
Marley Lambert will play in the doubles semifinals while Burguete Beltran also earned a spot in the singles semifinals.
The doubles duo of Burguete Beltran/Lambert defeated Northern Arizona's Jantacova/Shoshyna, 8-4, to start play on Sunday morning. The No. 6-seeded Pioneers will face the No. 2 seed from Boise State for a spot in the championship match.
Later Sunday afternoon, No. 4 seed Burguete Beltran took to the court in singles and earned a straight-sets win over No. 9 seed Betina Tokac from Colorado.
Play continues at the 2024 ITA Mountain Regional Championships on Monday with the semifinals in both singles and doubles.
