The Pioneers earned three Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors after a dual sweep over Air Force in El Pomar last weekend
DENVER – University of Denver senior men's swimmer Brandon Chapman, senior men's diver Zyad Morsy, and junior women's diver Kaitlin Calvery were named Summit League Peak Performers of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Morsy's award was his third of the season and the 10th of his three-year Pioneer career. Chapman earned his third weekly award from the league and Calvery earned her second.
Calvery earned her first two zone cuts of her junior campaign, turning in scores of 282.38 on the 1-meter board and 310.95 on 3-meter. Her scores were good enough to sweep both boards in a dual with Air Force.
Morsy swept both boards once again this week in a dual meet with Air Force, earning his fourth and fifth NCAA Zone cuts of the season with scores of 371.93 on the 1-meter and 354.30 on the 3-meter board.
Chapman's event win in the 200 fly highlighted his dual meet as he helped lead the Pioneers past the Falcons in El Pomar on Saturday. He turned in a time of 1:51.20 to win the event. Chapman also finished second in the 100 fly (49.99) and was a part of the 200 medley and 400 free B-relays for the Crimson and Gold.
