LAST TIME OUT:
Denver returned home after a five-match road trip to post a 0-0 draw against North Dakota in its Summit League home opener on Sunday, September 29. DU dominated time of possession and most offensive statistical categories – including 36 shot attempts – but was unable to find the back of the net.
QUICK HITS:
- After opening weekend of league play, Denver moved to 86-15-14 all-time in Summit League matches (and 40-9-7 on the road with its 3-1 with at Kansas City on September 26).
- Denver's 36 shot attempts against UND were the most in DU's Division I history in a match that the Pioneers did not score in (topping the previous record of 29 in a 0-0 draw against South Alabama on October 12, 2007).
- Overall, the 36 shots were the fifth most in any match in DU's DI history.
- DU had 20 shots in the second half alone with were more than the team had, had in all but one match this season.
- Among the Pioneers to set or tie career highs in the North Dakota match were senior Riley Baker and redshirt sophomore Emma Thielbahr with five and four shot attempts, respectively.
- In total, 15 Pioneers had at least one shot against UND, and 12 registered multiple shot attempts.
- For the fifth time this season, Denver held an opponent to just a single corner kick in a match with North Dakota joining North Carolina, Idaho State, Lamar and Kansas City.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES:
Oral Roberts earned its first Summit League win of the year with a 1-0 victory at St. Thomas on September 29. Samantha Guzman's 17
th-minute goal held up as the game winner and extending her team lead for total goals (five). Julia Thasaphong has the assist on Guzman's goal, giving her the outright ORU lead with four on the season.
DU leads the head-to-head against ORU, 8-3-2, though the Golden Eagles hold a 2-1-1 edge when playing in Tulsa. Denver posted a 1-0 win in their last meeting on September 23, 2023, at DU. The last time the teams met at ORU was a 5-1 Denver win on October 21, 2022.

DU returns to Denver for its final three regular-season home matches of the year, beginning when it hosts St. Thomas on Thursday, October 10, at 7 p.m. MT at University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
