OMAHA, NE --The Denver volleyball team fell to the Omaha Mavericks in straight sets (18-25, 20-25, 15-25) Thursday at Baxter Arena.
The loss dropped Denver's record to 11-14 overall and 6-9 in Summit League action.
Cassie Davis finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Pioneers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .333. Denver got 11 digs from Alayna Finucan to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Pioneers fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-18. Denver trailed by as many as eight points as Omaha grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was notted up just once before the Mavericks took control.
SET 2 | Denver dropped the second set 25-20, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Pioneers dropped the first point and never took the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Omaha finished the sweep with a third-set win. The Pioneers lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-15.
