MISSOULA, Mont. – The University of Denver men's basketball program dropped the Montana MTE Finale to Utah Tech 68-54 on Tuesday afternoon inside Dahlberg Arena.

The Pioneers (3-5) had two players score in double figures, led by Josh Lee, who had 11 points and five steals. Sebastian Akins tacked on 11 points from the bench and Pedro Lopez Sanvicente added nine points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

• Josh Lee finished with 11 points and 5 steals
• Lee finished in double figures for the third time this season and of his areer.
• Lee had 3+ steals for the second time this season and of his career.
• Lee's 5 steals are a new career high.

How It Happened
Denver struggled out of the gate, falling behind 39-29 heading into halftime.

After intermission, Denver managed to gain control and had a 54-44 lead before going on a 5-0 run, finished off by Isaiah Addo-Ankrah's three, to grow the lead to 59-44 with 9:01 to go in the contest. Utah Tech then asserted control, outscoring the Pioneers 24--5 the rest of the way to hand Denver the 68-54 loss. Denver took care of business in the paint, recording 16 of its 25 points in the lane.
