DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team has signed two future student-athletes, head coach
Paul Wardlaw announced on Thursday.
Remy Nguyen will join the team beginning with the upcoming 2025 season set to begin in January while
Ruby Hansen will join the roster starting with the 2025-26 academic year.
Nguyen is local to Denver and trains at DU's home facility of Denver Tennis Park. She calls Parker, Colorado, home and attended Chaparral High School. Last season, she advanced to the singles final of the CHSAA 5A State Championships. She won the doubles title at the 2024 ITA Intermountain Summer Championships while also capturing both the singles and doubles titles at the 2024 USTA Colorado Level 5 Junior Championships.
Hansen is from Yorba Linda, California…In each of the last four years, she has played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Championships on hard courts while also playing at the USTA National Clay Court Championships. She comes from a family of athletes with both parents playing basketball at the University of Utah, and her sister plays volleyball at UC Santa Barbara.

Andrea Burguete Beltran advanced to the round of 32. The team – with Nguyen – will begin its winter/spring dual season in January, and its complete schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
