SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Denver women's golf team shot a 22-over 598 in the first two rounds of the San Diego State Classic to put them in fifth place on the team leaderboard with 18 holes remaining.
After two rounds, Virginia is atop the leaderboard at 7-over, followed by South Carolina at 8-over and Oregon rounds out the top three.
Katy Drocarova leads the Pioneers at an even par and in seventh place. Fifth years
Anna Zanusso and
Anna Krekling are tied for 20th at 7-over.
Junior
Clara Gestsdottir shot 9-over on the day to put her in a tie for 30th, while
Emma Bryant rounds out the lineup in 40th at 13-over.
Competing as an individual,
Anna Neumayer is in 59th at 25-over.
The Pioneers return to the course tomorrow morning for the final round of the San Diego State Classic.
