Emily Counsel will return to the Denver program for her fifth year of eligibility in 2024-25, head coach
Doshia Woods announced on Monday.
"Over my past four years at DUÂ have seen Coach Woods take the culture of this program to the next level," Counsel said. "It was a clear and easy choice to close out my collegiate basketball career and pursue a masters degree. I'm excited to get to work with a great group of people."
Counsel averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, ranked 50th in the country shooting 38.5% from behind the arc and fifth in the Summit League, averaging 2 3FGs per game. The senior scored in double digits in 15 contests including a career-high 21 points on two occasions.Â
