INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - University of Denver women's basketball associate head coach Lindsay Werntz was selected to participate in the 2024 NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy, the NCAA announced this week.

The NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy provides full-time intercollegiate men's and women's basketball coaches an opportunity to expand their knowledge and insight into the world of intercollegiate basketball coaching. During the academy, selected participants will be trained in a variety of areas that encourage effective coaching at the intercollegiate level, with a focus on the holistic well-being and development of the student-athlete.

"I am extremely honored to be selected as one of the participants of this year's NCAA College Coaches Academy," Werntz said. :It's a great opportunity to learn from and engage with industry experts and fellow coaches. I am looking forward to representing DU & sharing information I've learned with the staff and team."

The program will feature renowned speakers from the intercollegiate and professional basketball space who will impart their wisdom to you, energizing you to return to your team and enhancing your capabilities as a leader both on and off the hardwood. Completing the academy will equip you with the leadership toolkit and a powerful network that will strengthen your ability to succeed in your current role while preparing you to fulfill your future aspirations as a coach. 

The Academy runs from May 8th-11th.
