FORT WORTH, TX --The Denver volleyball team could not overcome the Mavericks offense Saturday losing to UT Arlington in three sets (20-25, 22-25, 15-25).
The loss moved Denver to 5-5 on the season. The Pioneers will open conference play on September 26 against South Dakota.
Cassie Davis finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Pioneers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .280. DU got 6 digs from Alayna Finucan along with eight blocks from Molly Mirabelli and six rejections from Briley Decker to lead them defensively.

SET 3 | Denver couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Pioneers lost a tough set 25-15. Denver trailed by as many as 10 points as UT Arlington grabbed the advantage for good at 10-9 in a set that was tied up seven times before the Mavericks took over the lead.
