DENVER – The University of Denver hockey program unveiled on Saturday evening the team's 2024 championship ring, commemorating the Pioneers' NCAA-record 10th national title in their 75-year history.
The rings were presented to players, coaches and staff in a private ceremony on Saturday evening.
The dome of Denver's championship band features the updated arch "Denver" wordmark on top of the NCAA trophy, with the words "National Champions" surrounding the imagery. Ten shimmering stones decorate the top of the NCAA trophy, representing each of the program's record 10 titles, with the largest symbolizing its victory in the championship game against Boston College on April 13. Another 10 red stones surround the outside of the dome.
Unique to the ring of DU's record-breaking season is a "flip top" of the dome that reveals an additional details of the team's title run. Inside the top is the 2024 Frozen Four logo and the final scores of each of the NCAA Tournament games: 2-1 UMass, 2-1 Cornell, 2-1 BU, 2-0 BC. In the interior of the ring is a hockey rink with eight red dots on the bottom half to mark the exact position where each goal was scored by the Pioneers during the tournament. On the top of the rink is a red brick in front of the net, symbolizing where goaltender
Matt Davis tied Hockey Hall of Famer Ken Dryden's save-percentage record in the Frozen Four. At center ice of the rink is the letter "X" with two meanings: 1) the nickname of the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the Frozen Four was held, and 2) the roman numeral for 10 to recognize the program's collection of championships.
The ring's sides feature significant meanings for the 2023-24 squad. The left side includes personal details with the last name and number or position of the recipient. Above the individual details is the team's motto from the playoff run confident displayed, "How Bout Now."
The bottom of the right side depicts the championship year, "2024," while the team's second motto, "We Went Pios"—the past tense of "Let's Go Pios"—stretches across the top to commemorate the end of the Pioneers' victorious season. Between the text marks is the triumphant image of

Matt Davis, depicting the moment when the final buzzer sounded and the Denver bench was cleared.
The band features the school's nickname, Pioneers, at the bottom of the exterior while the inside of the ring displays the number "10" as well as the years of the program's 10 national titles: 1958, 1960, 1961, 1968, 1969, 2004, 2005, 2017, 2022, 2024.
Denver's 2024 championship ring was designed by Jostens, with the team's 2023-24 seniors and leadership group providing input on the look.
