Denver Hosts Oral Roberts on Senior Saturday at 2 p.m. MT

The Pioneers return home for the first time in three weeks to cap off their regular season home slate

DENVER – The University of Denver men's soccer program wraps up its 2025 regular season home schedule on Saturday when the Pioneers welcome Oral Roberts on Senior Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. MT, and the match will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.

SENIOR DAY:
Denver will honor four seniors after the match on Saturday. The Pioneers are honoring Dylan Akau, Isaac Nehme, Gabe Schwartz and Aidan Semelsberger. The first DU students at Saturday's game can pickup a free Denver Soccer scarf at the marketing table. 

DENVER VS. ORAL ROBERTS SERIES HISTORY:
Denver holds a 16-3-2 advantage in the Division I series history, including 9-2-1 in the Mile High City, with the lone two losses at home coming on the Diane Wendt Sports Complex. In the two regular season meetings last season, Denver won 3-2 at home and 1-0 in Tulsa. FULL SERIES HISTORY

LAST TIME OUT:
Redshirt junior Kyle McGowan scored twice in 118 seconds in the opening half hour in Denver's 2-0 win at Omaha last Saturday to retake the top spot in the Summit League table. FULL RECAP

TOP-10 SINCE 2015

  • Denver is 132-46-34 since the start of the 2015 season.
  • That record is good for sixth in the country in wins during that span, behind Wake Forest (158), Indiana (152), Clemson (149), Georgetown (142), Stanford (138).
  • Of the 27 teams that had at least 100 wins in that span entering the year, Denver has the seventh-fewest losses at 46.
  • Six of Denver's opponents are among the 27 that began the year with 100 wins since the start of the 2015 season.

RECORD BOOK WATCH

  • Career Shutouts: Isaac Nehme broke the career shutouts record in the Pios 2024 NCAA Second Round win with his 27th, and now has 33.
  • Career Goalkeeper Wins: Isaac Nehme broke the career goalkeeper wins record on August 31 vs. SIUE (2-1), capturing his 43rd victory to pass Nick Gardner (2014-18). Nehme now has 48.
  • Career Saves: Isaac Nehme has 176 career saves to sit fourth in Denver's DI history in career saves. Nehme is 18 saves behind Parker Jarvis (1999-01) for third on the list.
  • Career Matches Started: Isaac Nehme and Trevor Wright enter Saturday having made 79 career starts. With a start Saturday, the Pioneer duo will sit together in a tie for second in program history with Aidan O'Toole (2019-23), three behind the record held by Scott DeVoss (2015-18 | 83).
  • Career Matches Played: With his next appearance, Dylan Akau will move into sixth in program history at 82. On October 19, Akau became just the eighth Pioneer in program history to reach 80 career appearances. Wright and Nehme's next appearance will tie them with Alex Underwood (2014-17) for eighth.

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER SOCCER STADIUM

  • Denver is 113-23-19 at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium (2009)
  • The Pioneers are 103-14-13 in their home stadium since Franks joined the staff in 2012 and 78-10-10 since he took over as head coach in 2015.
  • Denver broke the stadium attendance record twice last postseason, playing in-front of 1,875 in its 2024 NCAA Round of 16 game vs. [14] Indiana, before hosting a standing-room only crowd of 2,361 in the Pios 3-0 NCAA Quarterfinal win over UMass.
  • Denver is 7-2-0 at home in NCAA Tournament games.

DENVER IN THE SUMMIT LEAGUE REGULAR SEASON

  • In Summit League regular season play since the Pioneers joined the league in 2013, Denver is 63-9-9.
  • Since Jamie Franks took over in 2015, Denver is 54-7-8.
  • Denver has won 10 of a possible 12 regular season titles since joining the league.
  • The Pioneers have won 12 conference regular season titles and eight conference tournament titles in their Division I history (1999).
  • Since joining the Summit League in 2013, the Pioneers have won 10 regular season titles and eight Summit League Tournament titles.
  • The Summit League added 2024 NCAA Quarterfinalist UMass and Delaware to the league in 2025.

2025 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

  • Jamie Franks has put his program up against the best once again with his 2025 schedule that was announced in July.
  • Denver's opponents combined for a 173-99-73 record a year ago, and had an RPI average of 54.5.
  • The Pios play 10 NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including six that got to at least the third round and a pair of NCAA Quarterfinal opponents in Pittsburgh and UMass.
  • Nine of Denver's opponents appeared in the United Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll.
  • In the regular season, Denver will 14 opponents that finished in last season's RPI in the Top-100 (three more than last season), eight from the Top-50 (one less than 2024) and five in the Top-20 (one more). 
  • Denver's 2025 results against teams that finished 2024 in the top-100.
