DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team started the 2025 Colorado Cup at Denver Tennis Park with nine total wins across singles and doubles in both sessions.
 
DU kicked off the tournament in a hidden dual against players from Grand Canyon and Montana State, winning all three of its doubles matches with just five combined games lost and highlighted by a bagel from the duo of freshman Aaron Beduhn and graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox.
 
Three of the Pioneers in action this weekend then collected wins in singles, all in straight sets. Sophomore Samuel Rovai lost only four games in his win while fellow sophomore Theo Coats and Robb-Wilcox each added their own solid wins.
 
Freshmen Beduhn and Tom Noltorp returned to the court after a short break to join Gonzaga's hidden dual against Air Force, and the two Pioneers were perfect in each of their matches including Noltorp's rally from a set down in singles.
 
The Colorado Cup continues on Saturday at Denver Tennis Park with Air Force playing against Grand Canyon and Montana State at 9 a.m. MT before Denver and Gonzaga face off at approximately 1:30 p.m. MT. Admission is free all weekend long.
