SIOUX FALLS, S.D.  – University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving had three student-athletes earn Kwik Star Summit League weekly honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.
 
Divers Kaitlin Calvery and Trip Gregory and swimmer Hamish McLellan earned the weekly honors from the league on Wednesday.
 
Gregory highlighted the opening weekend of the campaign for the Pioneers with his NCAA Zone score of 327.30 in the men's 3-meter. In his debut meet of his collegiate career, Gregory finished third in the 3-meter dive in a three team meet last weekend with a score of 327.30. The Denver freshman had a fifth-place finish in the men's 1-meter with a 256.60, and later finished fifth again in the men's platform dive.
 
Calvery took fourth in a 26-diver field in the women's 3-meter to lead off the competition last weekend with her score of 243.00. The Denver senior also finished eighth on the 1-meter board with a 224.35 and then earned her first victory of the season with a 199.80 on platform.
 
McLellan was a part of Denver's win in the 400 medley relay and swam the anchor legs of the victorious 200 medley relay and 400 free relays for the Pioneers in their three-team meet last weekend. McLellan also swam the final leg for the 200 free relay that finished second for Denver. In individual races, McLellan won the 50 free (20.64) and the 100 fly (48.99). McLellan also finished second in the 100 free with a time of 45.64.
 
UP NEXT:
Denver will have this weekend off before heading to the Air Force Academy the weekend of October 17 and 18 for a meet against Air Force, Wyoming and LSU.
