RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The University of Denver men's swimming and diving team program picked up a pair of dual wins in its west coast trip, earning victory over Cal Baptist and UCSB on Saturday afternoon at the Lancer Aquatics Center.

Men's 50 Breast – Kito Campbell – 24.93
Men's 200 Breast – Kito Campbell – 1:59.14
Men's 100 Fly – Hamish McLellan – 47.52
Men's 200 IM – Nico Morton – 1:50.27

EVENT BY EVENT RECAP:
Denver opened the second-half of the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay when Quinn Collins, Kito Campbell, Hamish McLellan and Luke Milburn combined for a time of 1:28.81.

In the final distance race of the weekend, Denver earned three of the top five spots in the 500 free. Dylan Mes led the Pioneers trio with a second-place finish in a time of 4:27.97. Joseph Hancock took third in 4:28.79 and Finn Holdredge finished fifth with a time of 4:32.63.

Campbell earned his second breaststroke win of the weekend, taking the top time in the race with a 24.93.

McLellan finished second in a tight 100 free with a time of 44.67. Matija Pantic took fourth in the freestyle race with a 44.81.

Campbell made it a clean sweep of the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke, taking the 200 in a time of 1:59.14. Morton was right behind his teammate in 1:59.14.

In the 100 fly, McLellan brought home his third individual event title of the weekend with a 47.52.

Denver had five student-athletes finish in the top six in the 200 IM, led by an event title in Nico Morton. The win for Morton was completed in 1:50.27. Gabe Jones finished third in 1:51.19, Cota Clise grabbed fourth in 1:51.38, Max Roslin finished fifth in 1:51.70 and Noah Laird wrapped up the group of Pios in sixth in 1:52.18.

The swimming portion of the meet concluded with Denver finishing second in the 400 free relay when Pantic, Tommy Hancock, Milburn and Mes finished in 3:00.94.

In diving over the weekend, Colin Breuer led the Pioneers with a third-place finish in the 3-meter with a score of 262.20 and a second place finish in the 1-meter competition with a 270.10.

UP NEXT:
Denver will have the month of November off before the Pioneers head out for their first championship style meet of the year, the 2025 Minnesota Invite. The three-day meet begins on Thursday, December 4 and runs through December 6.
