Kelly Named Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week

The sophomore forward scored his first four goals of the season this week, including his first career hat trick in the Summit League Semifinal against Oral Roberts on Sunday
DENVER – University of Denver men's soccer sophomore forward Keegan Kelly has been named the Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week, the publication announced on Tuesday.
On the other side of being the only college player to play in the FIFA Men's Under-20 World Cup in Chile last month, Kelly found his goal-scoring form in November for the second year in a row, netting his first four goals of the season when the stakes were highest for the Pioneers.
In the first match of the week on Wednesday, Kelly scored an 86th minute equalizer off an assist from Bryce Willoughby to lead Denver to a 1-1 tie at St. Thomas and a share of the Summit League regular season title.
Kelly followed that up with some more second-half drama on Sunday. After Willoughby scored Denver's equalizer in the Summit League Semifinal against Oral Roberts in the 67th minute, Kelly went off for his first career hat trick, finding the back of the net in the 68th, 87th and 89th to seal Denver's win and punch its ticket into Saturday's Summit League Final at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium (12 p.m. MT).
The New Zealand international's hat trick was the 15th in Denver's Division I history, and the eighth hat trick in the Summit League's postseason history. Kelly's second-half hatty was the fifth-fastest between goals one and three in the program's history, with all three goals coming in a 21:18.
In six career postseason games, Kelly has scored five goals and had two assists, and has at least one goal contribution in five of those six matches.
