DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team has signed Caroline Daugherty for the 2026-27 academic year, head coach Paul Wardlaw announced on Wednesday.
 
Daugherty is from Castle Pines, Colorado, and will graduate from Valor Christian High School in 2026. She is the reigning two-time Colorado 5A state champion in singles, giving Denver both finalists from 2024 when Daugherty faced current redshirt freshman Remy Nguyen in the championship match.
 
A four-star recruit, Daugherty advanced to the round of 16 at the 2025 Easter Bowl in Palm Springs, California, and was honored with a USTA National Junior Sportsmanship award following a 2024 tournament in Austin, Texas.
 
Daugherty will join a Denver program that has won 11 consecutive Summit League titles and will seek its 12^th in 2026. When Daugherty arrives on campus, DU will be kicking off its inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference.
