DENVER – The [RV/RV] University of Denver men's lacrosse program heads to Dallas, Texas, for the first time since 2016 when the Pioneers meet [7/8] Duke for a neutral site match-up at Highland Park High School. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT.
DI SERIES HISTORY:
Duke holds a 12-6 edge in the Division I series, having won each of the last seven meetings between the two programs. Prior to Duke's first win in the stream in 2018, the Pioneers had won six of the last eight, putting together a pair of three-game winning streaks from 2011-13 and 2015-17.

Following a 2-2 opening quarter, Ohio State exploded for six in the second frame to separate from the Pioneers in a 15-11 win for the visitors on Sunday afternoon at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

KELLY'S HOT START TO THE SEASON
- Through the opening eight games of the 2025 season, senior midfielder Mic Kelly has scored a team-high 19 goals.
- The only other Pioneer midfielder to score 18+ goals in the first seven games of the season came in 2013 when then-sophomore Wes Berg came out of the box to score 20 in his first seven games.
- Nationally, Kelly is tied for the third-highest goals per game in the country by midfielders, at 2.38 goals/game.
- In 2020, midfielder Jack Hannah scored 17 goals through the first six games before COVID put an end to the 2020 campaign.
DENVER AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS
- Denver is 78-93 in its DI history against teams in the USILA Top-20.
- Denver is 32-27 at home against ranked opponents.
- Denver's 2024 overtime win at Johns Hopkins and its March 20, 2022 win at No. 7 Ohio State are the program's two top-10 road wins since a trip to Notre Dame in 2020, the final game before the COVID-19 shutdown.
CALDWELL ON THE GROUND
- Through the first eight games of his redshirt sophomore campaign, Chris Caldwell has picked up 30 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.
- The 30 GBs is a team-high outside of primary faceoff taker Michael Kraus.
- Caldwell ranks 11th in the country in GBs/Game (3.75) among defenders, LSMs and SSDMs.
- Caldwell is 18 ground balls away from cracking the single-season top-10 in program history for GBs among one of the three defensive field positions.
- Caldwell has 5+ GBs in four different games this season.

- Denver is 3-0 in its Division I era on March 22.
- Teddy MacKenzie had six caused turnovers in a 17-11 win over Rutgers in 2014, tying for the second-most in DU's single game record book.

- 2022: The Crimson and Gold had a 23-18 edge in goals off resets.
