The Pioneers fell to eighth-seeded Omaha 76-68 in the Summit League First Round in Sioux Falls on Wednesday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The ninth-seeded University of Denver women's basketball program fought back from being down early to take a three-point lead, but eighth-seeded Omaha pulled out a 76-68 win on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Summit League Women's Basketball Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

The Pioneers (9-21) had two players score in double figures, led by Jordan Jones, who had 22 points and seven rebounds. Angelina Robles added 18 points and six rebounds and Laia Monclova added eight points and two blocks.

Led by Brooke Murrell's four offensive rebounds, Denver did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 10 boards that resulted in 10 second chance points.
