DENVER - The University of Denver women's golf team will head to Norman Oklahoma for NCAA Postseason play. The Pioneers received the 10Â seed, that was revealed on the NCAA Selection Show which aired on Wednesday on the Golf Channel.
This marks the 23rd consecutive year that Denver has appeared in a regional. DU is coming off its sixth consecutive Summit League Championship on Tuesday in Mesa, Arizona at the Longbow Golf Course. The Crimson and Gold posted an 859 and
Clara Gestsdottir was the lone golfer to finish under par, capturing back to back individual Summit League titles.
The Norman Regional will be played at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club and the University of Oklahoma will serve as the host institution.
Stanford received the No. 1 seed for the regional, followed by Northwestern, North Carolina and Michigan State. Joining the Pioneers are Duke, Oklahoma, Baylor, Oregon State, Tulsa, Furman and Southern Miss.
The top five teams and top individual on a non-advancing team from each of the six regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships on May 16-21 in Carlsbad, California.
