Box Score VILLANOVA, Penn. – The University of Denver women's lacrosse team dominated in the 20-9 win over fourth-seeded Georgetown in the Big East tournament semifinal on Thursday afternoon.
Redshirt freshman
Caroline Keil started the scoring for the Pioneers after early chaos in the midfield and failed clears for both teams. The hot pink defense forced a shot clock violation by the Hoyas and
Ryan Dineen cashed in to extend the lead to 2-0. Keil earned a first half hat trick alongside a pair of goals by
Olivia Ripple and one by
Lauren Black to take a 7-2 lead at the quarter.
Georgetown started the scoring in the second quarter but
Caroline Bowers quickly responded on the woman-up opportunity off an assist from
Eva Thomsen-Marr.
Raegan Wilson tallied her first of the day and Ripple added a pair of goals to close out the quarter with an 11-4 lead.
Ripple continued to power the Pioneers' offense, tallying her fifth of the day to extend the lead to 12-4. Georgetown's Sophia Loschert added a pair before Dineen snuck her second of the day inside the left post for a 13-6 lead after three.
Thomsen-Marr led the Pioneers with a fourth frame hat trick and
Mollie Estepp tallied the final goal of the contest to give Denver the 20-9 victory.

Olivia Ripple led the Pioneers with 7 goals, one shy of tying the Big East tournament game record.
Eva Thomsen-Marr and
Caroline Keil each added a hat trick while
Lauren Black and
Ryan Dineen added a pair apiece.
Alex Dorr recorded four wins in the draw circle.
The Pioneers dominated defensively with a Big East Tournament record 17 caused turnovers, the most in a single game since March 8, 2024 at Northwestern.
Caroline Colimore led the defensive effort with four caused turnovers and
Maddie Montgomery added three.
Denver broke the single-game Big East tournament record with 32 ground balls led by Ripple with seven, Bohi added a season-best five and Montgomery tallied on four more.
