Woods Signs Karolina Padilla Villalobos for 2025-26

DENVER - The University of Denver women's basketball program has signed guard Karolina Padilla Villalobos for the 2025-26 season, head coach Doshia Woods announced on Wednesday.

"I couldn't be more excited to welcome Karolina to our team," Woods said. "She's a 5'9" guard that will bring a level of grit and toughness to both ends of the floor. Padilla will be a utility player that will fill various roles for us and doesn't shy away from challenges defensively. We are looking forward to her joining our Pioneer family next season."

The Douglas, Arizona native appeared in 61 games over two seasons at Cochise College and helped her team to an NJCAA Region 1 Championship in 2024-25.

PERSONAL:
A Douglas, Arizona native ... chose Denver because of its unique blend of academic rigor, commitment to community engagement and access to both urban and natural environment ... enjoys running, listening to music, cooking and baking.
