DENVER – The University of Denver men's basketball program has signed forward and rising sophomore Shaun Wysocki, who completed his transfer from Minnesota State Moorhead to join the Pioneers roster in 2025-26, newly hired head coach Tim Bergstraser announced on Tuesday.
"Shaun is such a versatile and gifted athlete that can score at all three levels," Bergstraser said. "I'm excited to coach him again, now at DU. I've seen how much work he's put into his game and his body this offseason. His best basketball is ahead of him, and I couldn't be more excited to have him in this family as a Pioneer."
Wysocki played in all 34 games for the MSUM Dragons a year ago, averaging 7.6 points in 26.4 minutes per contest to go with 3.9 rebounds and 28 blocked shots, good for second on the team. The Rochester, Minnesota, native shot 50.8% from the field and finished in double figures in 12 contests. Wysocki started the final 14 games of the year and had a season-high 15 points and seven boards in the Dragons' 85-73 win at Minot State on February 5.
In his high school career, the two-time All-Minnesota selection averaged 21 points per game as a senior and was a two-time captain for Rochester Century High School. Wysocki played his AAU ball for the Minnesota Lightning and also competed in high school track and field during his high school career.
At the end of April, Bergstraser hired three assistants to join his inaugural Denver staff. FULL RELEASE
