DENVER - The University of Denver women's basketball program has signed combo guard Jocelyn Medina for the 2025-26 season, head coach
Doshia Woods announced on Tuesday.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Jocelyn to our Pioneer family," Woods said. "Jocelyn had a very decorated career for the College of Sequoias playing the combo guard position. As she makes this transition to DU we are expecting her to bring her versatility as a scorer and defender to our team."
The Arbuckle, California native led the College of the Sequoias to a 28-0 record including a Central Valley Conference championship. Medina was named Co-MVP as well as the Northern California Player of the Year. She ranked second in the conference in scoring with 22.8 points per game, shooting an impressive 57.8% from the field, which was first in the CVC. She was also the top three-point shooter in the conference, leading in three-point percentage (44.3%) while making over 2 threes per game. Medina was more than just a scorer, contributing 9.8 rebounds per game (fourth in CVC) and showcasing her versatility with 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game (third in CVC in both categories). She also made a significant impact on the offensive glass, ranking fourth in the conference in offensive rebounds with 3.5 per game, further demonstrating her ability to create second-chance opportunities.

An Arbuckle, California native ... plans to study business ... chose Denver because of the location and coaches ... enjoys playing card games and spending time outdoors.
