Loic Chable Named to Swiss Ski’s National Team

Denver skiing grad student set to be on his home country’s B Team next season

DENVER – University of Denver skiing graduate student Loic Chable has been named to Switzerland's national team for the 2025-26 season.

Chable has been selected to the Swiss Ski's Men's Alpine B-Team and is expected to race on the FIS Europa Cup circuit and compete for starts on the FIS Alpine World Cup this winter.

The Villars, Switzerland, native has spent the previous three years in the United States racing in the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association and suited up for the Pioneers this past season after racing and earning his undergraduate degree at Westminster University. Chable posted his best overall collegiate season in 2025 with Denver, as he recorded six top-10 finishes and three top-five results in 14 races.

He earned a pair of fourth-place results in giant slalom at both the Montana State Invitational on Feb. 3 and RMISA Championships in Alaska on Feb. 20. His best slalom finish was in fifth in the second race of the collegiate season at the Denver Invite on Jan. 7, and he finished eighth in the discipline at the conference championships on Feb. 22.

Chable qualified for his third NCAA Championship and recorded his best career results at nationals this year by placing 11th in slalom and 12th in giant slalom on March 5-7 in New Hampshire.

Previously a member of SAS Lausanne club in Switzerland, Chable represented his country at both the 2023 and 2025 FISU World University Games. He won gold in Alpine Combined and picked up silver in giant slalom at this year's event on Jan. 14-22 in Torino, Italy.

At the U.S. Alpine National Championships in Vail, Colorado, on March 30-31, Chable placed fourth in super G and was 12th in giant slalom. He also registered four top-10s on the FIS Nor-Am Cup circuit in 2025, including three in super G and a podium finish in third at the finals on March 14 at Sugarloaf, Maine.
