GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Denver women's lacrosse team fell to the Stanford Cardinal, 10-4, on Friday night in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in Gainesville, Florida.
Lauren Black recorded a pair of goals in the first quarter alongside a third by
Eva Thomsen-Marr to give Denver a 3-2 advantage after 15 minutes.
Caroline Bowers recorded the fourth goal for the Pioneers at 7:39 in the second quarter.
Stanford held the Pioneers scoreless in the second half to claim the 10-4 victory.
