DENVER – The University of Denver hockey team announced today changes to its upcoming 2025-26 schedule due to a scheduling conflict with Lindenwood University.
The Pioneers program has rescheduled its games in St. Charles, Missouri, with Lions to Oct. 17-18 to assist Lindenwood in the creation of its own schedule. Denver was originally set to begin its season at LU on Oct. 4-5.
To accommodate this schedule change, the University of Alaska Anchorage was amiable and agreed to switch its games at Magness Arena from Oct. 17-18 to DU's previously scheduled bye weekend on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
Because of this change, Denver's Homecoming Weekend will now take place on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 during the series against UAA.
Additionally, the Pioneers have also added an exhibition contest at Magness Arena on Saturday, Oct. 4 against UNLV prior to the start of the 2025-26 regular season.
The remainder of DU's schedule is unchanged. The Pioneers now open the regular season on Friday, Oct. 10 at Air Force before hosting Bentley on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Magness Arena in the home opener and Military Appreciation Night, presented by Freddy's.
