MATCH PROMOTIONS
The Pioneers will celebrate "Sunday Funday" during the match against Colorado State with activities and a kid zone for fans to take part in around the facility.
Sunday is the third and final doubleheader for the Denver men's and women's soccer teams. The Denver men will take to the pitch at the conclusion of the women's match, hosting Mercer at 3 p.m. MT.
DU Women's Soccer is also celebrating Parents and Family Weekend.
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver conceded twice in the first eight minutes against Colorado on September 11 but held the Buffaloes scoreless through the final 82 minutes after settling into the match. DU was without team captain and starting midfielder
Audrey Miller but saw the return of fellow captain

- Denver welcomed a crowd of 1,660 against Colorado, which is now the fourth largest attendance in program history.
- It was also the ninth largest crowd in University of Denver Soccer Stadium history – men's or women's.
- Sunday is DU's final non-conference match of the season, and the Pioneers will look for a win in their non-conference finale for the first time since 2019.
- Including this season, DU has played an in-state opponent in its final non-conference match in three of the last four seasons.
- CSU will be Denver's first nationally-ranked opponent of the season – excluding the exhibition against then-No. 25/19 Texas Tech on August 7.
- In its NCAA Division I history, Denver owns eight wins over nationally-ranked teams – most recently upsetting then-No. 24 Texas A&M on the road last season.
- DU's last win at home over a ranked opponent at home was a 3-0 victory over then-No. 24 Texas on August 29, 2019.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
This will be the 10
th all-time meeting between Denver and Colorado State with teams playing in every season since 2015 except for the COVID-delayed 2020 season. Denver has won or earned a tie in each of the last four meetings including a 1-0 win at CSU in their most recent match on September 12, 2024. The teams finished a 1-1 draw the last time Colorado State played in Denver on August 17, 2023.
Colorado State is the final NCAA Division I women's team without a loss on the season, earning the Rams their first-ever national ranking, coming in at No. 25 in the United Soccer Coaches' poll. CSU stayed perfect on the year with a 2-1 win against UC San Diego on September 7 off a 55
th-minute winner from Olivia Fout after the teams entered halftime tied at 1-1.
Fout leads CSU with five goals and 12 points on the season. Former Pioneer
Michaela McGowan has a CSU-best four assists. In goal, Gray Willson has played all 540 minutes entering Sunday's match.

Denver has a bye week before opening Summit League play on the road at North Dakota on Thursday, September 25, and then at reigning league champion North Dakota State on Sunday, September 28.
DU will then return home for a three-match homestand against three Summit League opponents on October 2-9.
