DENVER – Former University of Denver men's lacrosse student-athletes
Trevor Baptiste and
Danny Logan led the New York Atlas to its first Premier Lacrosse League Championship on Sunday afternoon at Spots Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
In the title tilt, Baptiste went 22-for-30 from the faceoff stripe, picking up 10 ground balls on his wins in the one-goal championship thriller. Logan had a goal, an assist and a pair of ground balls to earn his first of two rings this week as the former Pio is set to marry former Pioneer women's soccer player
Cheynne Shorts later this week.
Logan's points came just over two minutes apart from each other in a second quarter that saw Atlas outscore Denver 6-2.
Baptiste's title comes just over 10 years after he led the Pioneers to the 2015 NCAA Championship in his freshman campaign in the Mile High City.
Season tickets for the 2026 Denver men's lacrosse season are on sale now, and can be
purchased here.
