DU Women’s Tennis Wraps Up LBSU Invite with Four More Wins

Two doubles teams, singles players collect wins over host Long Beach State
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of Denver women's tennis team wrapped up the Long Beach State Winter Invitational with two wins apiece in singles and doubles on Sunday.
Against the host school, Denver started with a 2-1 record in doubles off wins from the pairings of seniors Claudia Martinez de Velasco and Louise Wikander, and sophomore Natálie Cinková and freshman Yunfei Cai.
In singles, Cinková wrapped up a perfect weekend with her third win after claiming a victory in a match tiebreak. Freshman Ruby Hansen joined her in the singles win column, also doing so with a 10-point tiebreak.
Denver next moves into dual match play with its home opener against Seattle on Friday, January 23 at 4 p.m. MT. Admission is free all season long at Denver Tennis Park.
