DENVER – University of Denver men's lacrosse redshirt junior attackman
Cody Malawsky has been named to the 2026 BIG EAST Preseason Team, the conference office announced in a vote of its head coaches on Tuesday. As a team, Denver was picked third in the preseason poll.
Malawsky was named to the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List and the BIG EAST Second Team a season ago. The Maple Ridge, B.C., native started in 12 games last year, totaling 32 points for the second consecutive year on 18 goals and 14 assists. Malawsky's season was highlighted by a seven-point afternoon against Utah and five in a trip to Marquette.
Denver's 2026 schedule, headlined by eight home games, starts with a date with Cleveland State on January 31. Opening faceoff is set for 12 p.m. MT.
