DU moved to 4-0 with two more wins at Denver Tennis Park to wrap up a four-match home stand to start the season, beginning with a notable 4-3 win against regional rival Utah on February 6. Denver rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the match to rattle off four singles points in a row to clinch it. Freshman
Aaron Beduhn started the comeback with a straight-sets win at No. 6, and sophomore
Theo Coats drew DU level at 2-2 with his own win in two sets. Senior

The Pioneers followed it up with a 6-1 win over Montana on February 8, winning the doubles point and earning straight-sets wins from senior

Connor Robb-Wilcox, Coats and Rovai. Papajcik captured the sixth DU point in the only match to go beyond two sets, winning a match tiebreak, 10-7.
Following the weekend's performances, Denver swept the weekly Summit League awards with Papajcik earning Peak Performer of the Week honors and adding a Doubles Peak Team of the Week nod with Beduhn.
Series History:
Wichita State: DU is 5-10 against Wichita State but has split the last two results with the Shockers. The teams have played at least once in each of the last 11 seasons, generally trading off years hosting one another. In 2025, WSU hosted Denver in a 5-2 win for Wichita State, and Denver earned a 4-0 sweep at the home the year prior. This will be the third neutral meeting between the teams and the first since 2000 – a 4-3 win for Denver in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Boise State: Denver holds a 4-7 record against Boise State but is 4-2 since 2017 – the first year the teams met after nearly a decade without doing so. Last season, DU dropped a tight 3-4 decision in a neutral match hosted by Wichita State but had won the two previous meetings. DU last made the trip to Boise in 2022, another narrow 4-3 BSU win.
Up Next:
The University of Denver men's tennis team stays on the road for another week and will again play a neutral site match against DePaul on February 21 before taking on host Northwestern in a true away match on February 22.
