Denver Women’s Tennis Enters ITA Rankings at No. 61

DU makes season debut in national rankings following 5-2 start to 2026

DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team (5-2, 0-0 Summit) made its season debut in the ITA Computerized Rankings, coming in at No. 61 in the rankings released on Thursday.

Denver started the year with a 5-0 record across its season-opening home stand, highlighted by a 4-2 win over now-No. 56 Colorado on February 1. DU's two losses on the season both came against nationally-ranked opponents in road matches a week ago (at No. 33 Utah, at No. 47 BYU).

This is Denver's first appearance in the ITA national team rankings since ending the 2024 season ranked No. 57.

The ITA Division I Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 313), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level. Team rankings are issued weekly while singles and doubles rankings are issued bi-weekly through March before also being issued weekly in April.

The University of Denver women's tennis team continues its first road trip of the season with three matches in two days at the Red Blue Invite, hosted by Arizona, on February 20-21. DU is scheduled to play against No. 11 Arizona State, host No. 40 Arizona and Oregon.
