IOWA CITY – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs capped off their Summit League dominance from more than the last decade with trophies 24 and 25 over the course of the last 13 seasons as the Pioneers once again swept the 2026 Summit League Championships Friday inside the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.

How it Happened:
The final night of competition opened up with the mile race.
Genevieve Franklin led the Denver win in the mile with a 16:52.84 to take second.
Nika Spehar clocked in at 17:06.52 to take fourth.
Paige Reilly reached the final wall in 17:19.61 to finish sixth.
Finn Holdredge led the Denver men in the mile, improving on his 10th-best time in program history, taking second with a 15:25.02.
Max O'Neil also earned a podium spot, taking this in 15:36.70.
Denver had five women's swimmers in the 200 Back A-Final, and six different Pioneers score points in the event.
Darian Koler won the race with a 1:57.76,
Samantha Synsvoll clocked in at 1:59.19 to take second,
Mina Ada Solaker finished fourth in 2:00.50,
Lilly Zippel finished seventh in 2:03.00 and Spehar got right back in the water and took eighth with a 2:04.23.
Maria DelMonte rounded out Denver's scorers in the event with a 2:02.70.
Quinn Collins took second to lead the Denver men with a 1:45.56 and
Max Roslin grabbed fifth in 1:47.43. In the B-Final,
Liam Simmons took 11
th in 1:49.28,
Kurt Owens finished 12
th with a 1:49.89 and
Noah Laird was scored 13
th in 1:50.51.
Julia Saxman got Denver back to the top step of the podium, leading a Pioneer 1-2 in the 100 free with a time of 50.14.
Isa Cardenas finished just behind her teammate with a 50.38.
Tenaya Winter finished seventh in 51.36 and
Izzy Burton clocked in at 51.70 to take eighth.
Anias Montibert finished 16
th with a 53.42.
On the men's side,
Hamish McLellan grabbed second in 43.92,
Matija Pantic was timed at 44.36 to grab fourth and
Tommy Hancock was scored eighth in 45.18.
Dylan Mes took 14
th with a 45.81 and
Benjamin Stone took 15
th in 45.93.
In the women's 200 breast,
Peyton Mullowney was the only Denver swimmer in the finals session, earning a podium spot in 2:15.14 to take third. The Pioneers had three swimmers in the men's 200 breast A-Final.
Nico Morton took second in 1:58.00,
Kito Campbell grabbed third with a 1:58.57 and
Cota Clise was timed seventh in 2:00.78.
Junior
Sabrina Rachjaibun got Denver back in the winners circle with a 1:59.96 in the women's 200 fly final. Denver's men were led in the event by
Ian O'Neil who finished third with a 1:48.03 and brother
Max O'Neil who finished seventh in 1:51.48.
To the diving well,
Savanna Berry completed her diving sweep with a 286.05. Teammate
Kaitlin Calvery finished second with a 283.35.
Tatum Brasfield took sixth with a 254.75 and
Sydney McCoy received a 219.85 in the B-Final.
The championships closed with the 400 free relays. Winter, Saxman, Burton and Cardenas gave Denver one more relay victory with their time of 3:22.08. Pantic, Hancock, Stone and McLellan turned in a 2:56.79 to take second in the men's race.
